Helping Children Thrive: Using Data to Protect Bangladesh’s Children from Intestinal Worm Infections
In August 2025, Bangladesh’s Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) Elimination and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis (STH) Control Program, under the Directorate General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, launched a large-scale survey across 15 districts. The video documents the field teams’ journey to conduct surveys during Bangladesh’s rainy season, as they navigated water-logged terrain to ensure that no school was left behind.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the LF Elimination and STH Control Program, Bangladesh is one step closer to ensuring that every child has the chance to grow, learn, and thrive, free from the burden of intestinal worms.
